National Conference 2008

 

Mens' Health Forum Scotland hosted a National Conference during Men's Health Week 2008 at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.

The event provided a forum to present and explore key developments in research, policy and practice and men's health in Scotland.

Our key aims are to continue to raise awareness of men's health in all its diversity and to increase the capacity of practitioners to engage effectively with men's health issues.

The event focussed on three main key areas of men's health:

  • Mental & Emotional wellbeing
  • Sexual health and relationships
  • Men and violence

There was a mixture of keynote speakers, participative panel discussions and a structured networking session, designed to give delegates the opportunity to share information about their current work, and to learn about the work of others.
