National Men's Health Week
9th June - 15th June 2008
National Men’s Health Week (NMHW) runs each year in the week leading up to father’s day. The theme for 2008 was “men and work”.
Men’s Health Forum Scotland activities during NMHW 2008 are listed below:
National Conference 08, 11th June 2008
The conference provided a forum to present and explore key developments in research, policy and practice in men’s health. The conference focussed on three main key areas of men’s health; mental and emotional wellbeing, sexual health & relationships and men & violence.

MHFS 10k for Men
The third MHFS 10k for Men 2008 took place on Sunday 15th June, father's day, at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park. The day was a great success with men of all ages and abilities taking part. Well done and thanks to all the runners who took part on Sunday!
The 10k for Men provides a major focus for NMHW and brings together men from across Scotland and beyond and we hope that this will be a major annual date for both men’s health and running in Scotland. For more information about the 10k for Men, click on the link below:

Across Scotland
During NMHW 2008, local men’s health events and initiatives on a wide range of issues took place throughout Scotland. The events were organised by NHS Boards, health promotion units, hospitals, local authorities, schools, colleges, voluntary groups, charities, employers, commercial organisations and many other groups and individuals.
